Spring 2018 Graphic Design Intern for Flyers Games!

The Flyers Game Presentation Department is looking for a creative and driven individual who has a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and be part of the Flyers culture. The Game Presentation Graphic Design & Animation Intern will have the opportunity to learn and create graphics for use in-game on the Flyers video board and will assist in planning and producing a wide variety of elements to enhance the fan experience. 

Responsibilities:
  • Work as an integral member of the Game Presentation department including planning, organizing and executing an array of graphics necessary for the in-game entertainment of all home Flyers games 
  • Create a variety of in-game elements for each Flyers home games including video board graphics, corner board graphics, crowd prompts, noise meters, and other animations or projects as assigned 
  • Assist in the design process of creative material and building décor 
  • Organize the departmental graphics inventory 
  • Design and create graphics for sponsorship in-game elements, marketing initiatives, food and beverage items, upcoming events, and other graphics as needed 
  • Record and track graphics to be used in game script 
  • Create, design, proofread, and edit collateral materials 
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Qualifications:
  • Must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Media Arts, Communications or closely related field (The internship is PAID, however housing/transportation are the intern’s responsibility) 
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator 
  • Knowledgeable on both Mac and PC 
  • Must be a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic environment 
  • Experience managing multiple projects, adapting to changing schedules, finishing tasks quickly, and meeting deadlines 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Familiarity with different design formats for both print and web 
  • Video production and editing skills beneficial, but not required

**Must provide an online demo reel or portfolio of work that includes applicable graphic design and/or animations to be considered for an interview.
