Heather Lanier and Ron Block both received grants through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship program; here is a Rowan Today story about it! Ariana Tucker had a short story published in Midnight & Indigo. Jason Luther had an article published in Literacy in Composition Studies: “DIY Delivery Systems: Rethinking Self-Sponsorship Through Extracurricular Literacy Narratives.” Tim Donaldson just secured a literary agent through Trident Media. Tiffany DeRewal and Leslie Allison had an op-ed published in NJ Spotlight News about generative AI "Op-Ed: We must pay attention to ethical implications of new AI technology." Professor Celeste Del Russo, WA MA alum and faculty member Donna Mehalchick-Opal, & CoE PhD candidate Sharada Krishnamurthy published their chapter, “Valuing Language Diversity through Translingual Reading Groups in the Writing Center” in the important new collection Linguistic Justice on Campus: Pedagogy and Advocacy for Multilingual Students. Professor Ron Block published three poems in Blackbird, an online journal of literature and the arts. Poems include "My Country, My Cousins", "Telephone", and "3Rs: A Sentimental Journey". Lecturer Keri Mikulski's comedy short "80s Sitcom Props: Where Are They Now?" was a Best of 2021 for Weekly Humorist! Professor Lisa Jahn-Clough's book The Kids of Cattywampus Street is now available as an audiobook, read by the brilliant Tara Sands! Senate Diversity Award for a Faculty Group ProjectThe Inclusive Technical and Professional Writing Pedagogy working group has been awarded the Senate Diversity Award for a [Faculty] Group Project! Congratulations to the whole group: co-leaders Amy Reed and Grace Fillenwarth, and group members, Juliana Rausch, Ted Howell, Nicole Cesare, Tiffany DeRewal, Jude Miller, Doreen Fera, and Amanda Haruch.
