CCCC Writing Program Certificate of Excellence Winners!Congrats to our first year writing faculty and program who won a 2022 CCCC Writing Program Certificate of Excellence. This award program, established in 2004, honored 8 writing programs this year. CCCC recognized our program's "highly collaborative and inclusive faculty" that offers a "robust set of professional development."
PublicationsTiffany DeRewal and Leslie Allison had an op-ed published in NJ Spotlight News about generative AI "Op-Ed: We must pay attention to ethical implications of new AI technology."
Professor Celeste Del Russo, WA MA alum and faculty member Donna Mehalchick-Opal, & CoE PhD candidate Sharada Krishnamurthy published their chapter, “Valuing Language Diversity through Translingual Reading Groups in the Writing Center” in the important new collection Linguistic Justice on Campus: Pedagogy and Advocacy for Multilingual Students. Professor Ron Block published three poems in Blackbird, an online journal of literature and the arts. Poems include "My Country, My Cousins", "Telephone", and "3Rs: A Sentimental Journey". Lecturer Keri Mikulski's comedy short "80s Sitcom Props: Where Are They Now?" was a Best of 2021 for Weekly Humorist! Professor Lisa Jahn-Clough's book The Kids of Cattywampus Street is now available as an audiobook, read by the brilliant Tara Sands! |
