Checklist for Portfolio seminar
Early in Semester
1. Attend one of the introductory meetings.
2. Read over the course requirements. Sample Analysis Statements can be found by logging onto the class Canvas site.
3. Contact your advisor/reader and propose an action plan (i.e., when you will have things completed by).
4. After meeting with your advisor, please write an email to Professor Harrell (harrel52[at]rowan.edu), (please cc your advisor) and give a brief report on what you accomplished in the meeting. Share:

- That you are clear about your five assignments;
- Which approach you are taking (traditional, etc.) and that you have a plan for which assignments to use as examples for which core values;
- That you have a plan to share an initial draft with your advisor and a BY WHEN you will share it (around week 6, if not sooner), and that your advisor is promising to provide comments within 2 weeks of receiving your draft. NOTE: If you fail to share your draft when you promised, your advisor may not be able to provide feedback within two weeks;
- That you have a final deadline set for the full portfolio and analysis statement sometime during finals week at the end of the semester.

Middle of Semester
6. Complete at least three core values of the Analysis Statement. You decide which three.

7. Week 6 (early October for Fall; early March for Spring): Send three values to your advisor/reader.
8. Based on feedback from your advisor/reader, complete your Analysis Statement.

9. Week 12 (before Thanksgiving for Fall; mid April for Spring): Contact Professor Harrell (harrel52[at]rowan.edu) to let her know the draft of your AS for all 9 core values is completed so you can be placed in a peer group with 2 other students. Do not email the AS to Harrell! You will be placed with others in a group via Blackboard once I have enough people to create a group.
10. With your group, workshop Analysis Statements electronically using Google Drive.
11. Revise your Analysis Statement based on your peers’ feedback.
12. Make sure you have uploaded everything to a Google Folder. Share your Google Folder with your advisor and Professor Harrell (harrel52[at]rowan.edu).

13. Week 14 (beginning of December for Fall; end of April for Spring) Let your advisor/reader and Harrell know that you completed your portfolio by sharing it with them via a Google Drive folder.
Late in the Semester
14. Your advisor/reader will evaluate your AS and recommend a grade to Professor Harrell. She will enter the grade, unless you have failed to participate or have done a poor job in step 7, in which case your grade will be lowered one‐third.
