This week, the Writing Arts department is interviewing three different candidates for a position as an assistant professor in creative writing with a specialization in creative nonfiction to begin next fall.
There are three different kinds of events for students to attend: a teaching demo, a meeting with students only, and a reading followed by a Q and A. Participation is particularly encouraged for Friday, the day people are least likely to be on campus. Students are especially encouraged to attend the gathering with only students (no faculty allowed!), listed in red below. J.C. Hallman was raised in Southern California, and studied at the University of Pittsburgh, the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins. He has taught at a number of colleges and universities. Jose Antonio Vargas, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, filmmaker--and undocumented immigrant-- will be speaking at Rowan University during "Define American: An Evening with Jose Antonio Vargas" on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Eynon Ballroom of the Chamberlain Student Center, 201 Mullica Hill Road, Glassboro. The evening is free and open to the public.
